He mainly provides assistance and advice to companies and matured a specific experience in the field of administrative law, in particular with reference to public services, tenders and regulated sectors (energy, transport, tobacco, health, waste).

Mr. A. Trotta has a significant experience in energy and environment, assisting important Italian and foreign players in their activities.

He assisted several operators in the oil & gas sector in their dealings with the competent authorities, in transactions involving the sale and purchase of E&P titles, in proceedings aimed at awarding administrative authorizations, in Environmental Impact and Strategic Environmental Assessments, as well as in any related claims before the Administrative Courts.

His M&A experience includes acquisitions, restructuring, joint ventures, mergers, and/or segregation of selected business units.

With specific reference to the pharmaceutical and health sector, he represented the interests of leading national and international companies in the finalization of regulatory proceedings for the transfer of intellectual property rights on drugs and medicines, defended his clients in medical liability claims and assisted clinics and other structures providing health services.

Andrea Trotta established Studio Legale Trotta in 2009; before he practiced with "Macchi di Cellere - Gangemi", "Monaco e Associati" e "Monaco" law firms.     

Education and teaching:      
Law degree at the University of Rome La Sapienza.          

Postgraduate legal training at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.          

Specialist in European EU Law and Economics at the University of Rome La Sapienza.

Assistant lecturer in Administrative Law and Administrative Procedural Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Roma Tre.

He carries out teaching and research activities and participates, as a speaker, in seminars and conferences in the field of administrative, EU and environmental law.

Appointments:
In 1999-2000, he worked at Consob, the Italian supervisory Authority regulating Companies and Stock Exchange, as officer assigned to Intermediaries Division, Office of Financial Advisors Register and Supervision.

From 2001 to 2004 he was consultant to the Department of European Community Policies established by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. He was also appointed member of the Observatory on the European Convention and of the Observatory on European Citizenship.

In 2004, he was appointed a member of the "Working Group supporting the Energy Table" set up by the Ministry of Productive Activities. 

In 2005, he was appointed member of the Study Commission set by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities to study the forms and methods of establishing private law foundations for the management and enhancement of cultural heritage.

In 2006, he was appointed member of the Commission responsible for drafting the By-laws and the Accounting and Administration Rules of the "Consorzio del Parco Museo Minerario delle Miniere di Zolfo delle Marche".    

In 2013 he was appointed member of the " Group of Study for the Reorganisation and Codification of Existing Environmental Regulations" established by the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea. 

Collaboration as Senior Expert in administrative law and regulation of local public services for the realization of the Italiae Project aimed at encouraging the creation of Unions of Municipalities, inter-municipality and the associated management of administrative functions and services; the project is promoted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Department of Regional Affairs and Local Authorities and funded on account of the National Operational Program (PON) Governance and Institutional Capacity 2014-2020.
